Since 2012, the END Fund has worked alongside local implementing partners on a singular mission to end the five most common neglected tropical diseases (NTDs): intestinal worms, lymphatic filariasis, schistosomiasis, river blindness, and trachoma, which affect 1.7 billion people worldwide - mostly children. Over 40% of the global NTD burden is concentrated in Africa, where the END Fund focuses the majority of its work.

Since the founding in 2012 through 2019, with their partners, the END Fund has provided over 920 million treatments with a value of over $1.6 billion and trained more than 2.7 million health workers in NTD control and prevention. In 2019 alone the END Fund reached over 121 million people with 196 million treatments and trained over 907,000 health workers.

The END Fund has been a GiveWell Top Charity, recommended for their deworming programs, for 5 consecutive years. Deworming is a low-cost treatment that helps combat parasitic infections such as intestinal worms and schistosomiasis. With medicines costing less than USD$0.50 per person, per year, this cost-effective intervention improves the health, education, and future economic opportunities of children around the world. A study carried out by Nobel Prize winner Michael Kremer and colleagues shows that children who are dewormed have a 25% higher chance of staying in school, and a recent follow-up to this study determined that these children, now adults, have higher hourly earnings and higher consumer spendings. With a donation of USD$100, together, we can help protect 200 children from parasitic infections for a year. Get involved with the END Fund and help us move one step closer to a world where everyone can lead healthy and prosperous lives.
